Ropes and knots

Our video shows a simple way to tie up your Day Boat after mooring up.

Many mooring sites have rings to tie up to – choose ones a short distance beyond the front and the back of your boat. You can also use mooring pins and hammer into soft ground, if there are no rings. Run your ropes at about 45 degrees from your boat. Be careful not to tie ropes across the towpath.
